Module 08 · Service Advisor
CDK Service Suite
The Dyer process already exists. This module teaches advisors how to run that process inside the CDK Service Suite without dropping steps: check-in, write-up, MPI, Parts handoff, menu presentation, approvals, status updates, declined work, and closeout.
The Lens for This Module
Suite is not "another screen." It is the operating lane for the RO. If the Suite workflow is clean, the customer gets a smoother visit, the tech gets better information, Parts prices faster, and the advisor has a cleaner close.
What You'll Learn
By the end of this module, every advisor will be able to:
- Use CDK Service Suite as the system of record for the RO.
- Complete a clean check-in and write-up using the Dyer sequence.
- Verify customer, vehicle, contact, history, warranty, recall, and declined-work context.
- Manage MPI, Parts pricing, menu presentation, approvals, and declined repair ops.
- Keep Suite/DMS statuses current so customer communication tools can work.
- Close the RO with clean notes, signatures, authorization, and pickup readiness.

How Module 08 Lives the Dyer Values
- Positive attitude → Use Suite calmly on the drive instead of letting the screen control the conversation.
- Respect → Verify the customer's information and capture their concern in their words.
- Treat customers like family → No surprises at pickup because the RO, notes, approvals, and statuses stayed clean.
- Pride → A clean Suite workflow shows up in every department after you touch the RO.
- Win together → Advisor, technician, Parts, cashier, and manager all work from the same facts.
- Excellent and easy → Fewer handoffs, fewer callbacks, fewer "let me check" moments.
