Advisor Word Tracks

A BG presentation should sound like a trusted advisor, not a commercial. Use these patterns to explain the service naturally and tie it to the customer's vehicle.

Lesson Objective

Learn practical word tracks for common BG services and the three-part structure behind every strong presentation.

The Three-Part Word Track

  1. Evidence: "Here is what we saw."
  2. Meaning: "Here is why it matters."
  3. Recommendation: "Here is what I recommend and where it fits."
Template

"We found [evidence]. That matters because [system risk in plain English]. I recommend [BG service] because [customer benefit]. I put it in [Good/Better/Best] so you can decide what fits today."

Service-Specific Word Tracks

Fuel System

"Your engine is direct-injected, and those engines are more sensitive to carbon buildup around the intake and combustion area. The BG fuel service is a cleaning service that helps restore performance and fuel economy. I put it in Better because it is preventive, but it is a smart service at this mileage."

Engine Performance

"The oil change handles the fresh oil, but this service addresses deposits inside the engine before the new oil goes in. Because you mentioned oil consumption and the tech noted the oil was heavily contaminated, this is the deeper-clean option I would recommend."

Transmission

"Your transmission fluid is dark, and heat is what breaks that fluid down over time. The BG transmission service exchanges the old fluid and helps protect shift quality. This is one I would rather see you do before you ever feel a shifting problem."

Cooling System

"Coolant does more than control temperature. It also protects against corrosion. Your coolant is old and the test shows the protection is worn down, so I recommend exchanging it before it starts taking out expensive cooling-system parts."

Brake Fluid

"Your brake fluid is dark and moisture-contaminated. Since we are already doing brake work, the BG brake service handles the fluid side of the system so the new pads are not paired with old contaminated fluid."

Power Steering

"The steering fluid is dark and the pump is starting to make noise. This service removes worn fluid and debris before it keeps wearing on seals and valves. It is a maintenance step to protect the steering system."

Words to Avoid

AvoidUse instead
"You need this.""I recommend this because..."
"The system says it is due.""Based on mileage and the condition we saw..."
"Flush.""Exchange" or "service," unless the local BG/RO wording uses flush.
"It will fix your problem.""It is designed to help with..." or "This is the maintenance step for..."
"If you do not do it, it will fail.""Waiting too long can increase the risk of..."
The Best Tone

Calm, factual, and optional. Customers buy more often when they feel informed and in control.

The Dyer Standard

Every BG word track should fit in 20-30 seconds. If it takes longer, you are probably explaining too much. Evidence, meaning, recommendation, then let the customer talk.
